So you’ve heard about Divine union, but aren’t quite sure what it means?
In this article, we take a look at the different types of Divine union, the different types of love, and marriage.
What Is A Divine Union?
A Divine union in the sense of sacred relationships means the emulation of the Divine masculine and Divine feminine energy in the form of a relationship between two people. It is the spiritual union of two people, which emulates the energy of the universe.
A Divine union does not have to be formed through a heterosexual relationship because there is Divine masculine and Divine feminine energy in every single human irrespective of biological sex. The balance that creates a Divine union is energetic—not based on a person’s biological sex.
Sacred sexual union and Divine sexuality are common practices used to experience Divine union.

What Is The Highest Form Of Love?
You will find the different types of love through Ancient Greek philosophy. Love is differentiated into four main types: eros, agape, philia, and storge.
Eros is romantic, passionate, and fiery love. Eros is lustful and driven by physical attraction.
Agape is known as the ‘highest and purest’ form of love because agape is selfless, universal, and unconditional love. And it is often known as sacrificial love because you hold it above yourself and the ego.
Whereas philia is affectionate love and can be likened to the love between soulmates and the love between friends.
And lastly, storge is known as familiar love which is common between kin and family members.
Is Marriage A Sacred Union?
Marriage is a sacred union, but it isn’t necessarily the only type of sacred union you can have with your partner. And there are also different types of marriages that you can create with a loved one.
Traditionally, marriage was a rite of passage that was taken before universal consciousness, or recognised by your chosen religion. But in this day and age, there are different types of marriage.
You can get married in different ways such as; spiritually, religiously, and legally. Each type generally still needs to undergo a ceremony to seal the rite of passage, but each marriage option is just as valid as the other depending on your and your partners’ needs and desires.
